AI lead enrichment: fit scores and insights
Every saved lead gets a fit score, temperature, and key insights from AI. What they mean and when they refresh.
TL;DR. Every saved lead gets a fit score (0–100), a temperature (cold / warm / hot), and 2–4 key insights pulled from their LinkedIn profile and headline. The numbers update when you refresh enrichment; otherwise they're frozen at save time.
When to use this
Reading enriched leads to decide who to message first. The fit score and key insights are designed to surface the 20% of leads worth 80% of your attention.
What each thing means
Fit score (0–100). How well this lead matches your ICP. The score weighs role, seniority, industry, company size, and signals from the headline (e.g. "building a team", "growing 3x"). Above 70 is a strong fit; under 40 is probably not worth pursuing.
Temperature. A three-band buyer-readiness signal:
- Cold — Fits the ICP but no signal they're in market.
- Warm — Some indicator they might be exploring (recent role change, hiring, content that hints at the pain you solve).
- Hot — Strong intent signal (public RFP, "we're evaluating X", recent funding round in your category).
Key insights. 2–4 bullets the AI extracted that you'd want to mention in a first message. Things like "Just promoted from Senior Manager — 3 months in", "Wrote a public post on the pain you solve last week", or "Company is hiring 8 SDRs — likely scaling outbound".
Refreshing enrichment
Enrichment is a snapshot. The lead's situation changes over time. To re-run:
- Open the lead's detail panel from /find.
- Hit Refresh enrichment.
- Wait 10–30 seconds. The fit score, temperature, and insights update. Old values are not preserved.
Common questions
What if the fit score seems wrong? Usually it's because your ICP is too loose or too tight. Tighten the industry list and company-size band in Settings → ICP & Personas, then refresh enrichment on the affected leads.
Does enrichment count against my AI quota? Yes. Each lead enrichment counts as roughly one AI message. Refreshing enrichment costs another. See Understanding your usage.
Why don't I see insights for some leads? A small percentage of LinkedIn profiles don't expose enough public content (sparse headlines, no recent activity) for the AI to extract useful insights. The fit score still works in those cases.
