The Connect inbox extension
AI drafts replies on LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger. Preview before sending; tune the prompt.
TL;DR. Connect adds an AI-draft button to your DM composer across LinkedIn, WhatsApp Web, Instagram, and Messenger. Click it; the AI proposes a reply grounded in your Business Context and the conversation so far. You always review and edit before sending.
When to use this
When you receive a DM and want to reply faster — especially for the repetitive first-touch and qualification messages that eat up the most time in B2B outreach.
Step-by-step
- Install Connect from the Chrome Web Store. See Install the extensions.
- Open a conversation on any of the four platforms.
- The composer (where you type your reply) gains a "Draft with AI" button. Click it.
- A small drawer slides up showing the proposed reply. Three things
appear:
- The main draft (editable)
- Up to 3 reply preset alternatives (if you've configured them in /connect)
- A "Regenerate" button if the draft doesn't fit
- Edit if needed. Hit Use this to drop the text into the composer. Then send normally — Connect never auto-sends.
What the AI reads
When it drafts, the AI sees:
- Your Business Context (product, value-prop, pricing, objections)
- Your Master Prompt (the shared system prompt — see Master prompt and overrides)
- The conversation history (typically the last 10–20 messages, depending on platform)
- Your ICP and personas (so it can pattern-match the other person to a persona archetype and adapt the tone)
It does not see other conversations on the platform, your inbox-wide data, or anything outside the conversation thread you're looking at.
Common questions
Does Connect auto-send replies? No, never. Every draft goes through the preview drawer where you review and click "Use this" — which only inserts the text into the composer. You send from the platform's own UI.
What about privacy of my DMs? Conversation content is sent to the AI server (Convex + Anthropic / OpenAI) for the generation, but it's not stored beyond the request. We don't train models on your conversations. See the Privacy policy for the formal terms.
Why isn't the "Draft with AI" button showing on platform X? Some platforms (especially WhatsApp Web) sometimes load slowly enough that the extension hasn't injected yet. Refresh the page; the button usually appears within a second of the conversation rendering.
